But the simplest explanation is that a person with a snake tattoo may simply like tthe way that it looks. Not everyone who gets a tattoo attributes deep esoteric meanings to the image.

Throughout history, the snake has been a prominent character in art, literature and therefore the imaginations of individuals everywhere on the planet. Across cultures, the snake carries with it much meaning and symbolism, representing both positive and negative characteristics. In India, snakes are known to kill many by their bite and were once the foremost common explanation for death.

Therefore, ancient Indians both feared and revered snakes. In Hinduism, the God Indra has control over all snakes. Also, a God named Vasuki is considered the king of snakes. As you’ll see, snakes are an important part of Hindu culture.

As for the snake as a tattoo, in Hindu culture, the tattoo can symbolize anything from infinity, desire, destructive tendencies, the pain of harsh words, misfortune, and therefore the relationship between death and time.

All of those different meanings need to do with the movement of energy within the body and therefore the Gods’ relationship with snakes.

Snakes are notoriously misunderstood creatures, and whether or not they are considered good or evil, they will represent a spread of meanings and symbolism.

There can be the following meaning of snake tattoo:

Whether good or evil, there’s little question that the snake may be a powerful symbol and reptile that has evolved since the age of dinosaurs, or if religious, from the very Garden of Eden itself.

Some snakes possess venom. Others are downright apex predators, making them dangerous and powerful symbols.

The ability of a snake to shed its own skin means it is often interpreted as a logo of rebirth, change, transformation, or healing.

According to the Bible story of Adam and Eve, a snake tempted Eve with a forbidden apple, which led to the birth of sin. For this reason, snakes can represent temptation and sin.

Historically across many cultures, the snake may be a symbol of fertility and artistic vital force, due partially to the snake’s phallic shape.

The Ouroboros (an image of a snake eating its own tail) is an ancient symbol that will represent the circle of life and death and rebirth. This symbol, which originated in Europe, also can represent the changing seasons of life.

In some ancient mythology, the snake is seen as a logo of data and wisdom.

Thanks for asking.

It can mean alot of things, maybe you are a icchadhari naag or maybe you like harry potter too much and belong to naagshakti house but jokes apart it actually have alot of different meanings and symbolism in different cultures it can mean power and rebirth while in other mean danger and temptation. In some cultures it is a symbol of fertility while in some a devil incarnate. It is a very disputed symbol. Also some particular snake types also mean different things. One very popular snake myth is medusa the lady with snakes as hair and have power of turning men to stone if they look at her directly, now this is a very popular tattoo but is open to interpretation you can take medusa as a symbol of female power, formidability, freedom or as a dangerous threat to deter someone from there path. She is evil, she is magic, she is brave, she was wronged, she was fertile, she could destroy people with one gaze it’s how you perceive it.

Snake tattoo could also just symbolise reincarnation and death, the snake eating it’s own tale symbolise the infinite cycle of birth and death, similarly a rose and snake tattoo could mean purity and a snake and apple tattoo means sin and temptation, it all comes down to your perception of it.

I have attached a few links which have descriptions about the snake tattoo and there symbolism in different cultures, and its meanings.Go through them they will help you get a clearer understanding of the deep rooted snake tattoos meanings.

I wasn’t going to comment on this when I read it yesterday, but I felt the Holy Spirit move me to. Yes, it is a sin. The Lord is not pleased with the Garments of the Babylonians, read Joshua 7 —this was dishonoring and prevented them from winning the battle. We all know that those designer labels bring nothing but glory to the name brand and not God. We also know that it can also be a stumbling block for others that can’t afford it, that is also why we are warned to dress modestly without wearing expensive and elaborate items 1 Timothy 2:9, 1 Peter 3:3. Many Christians will disagree, why? Because everyone is trying to have their best life now with the lies of the prosperity message being preached in our current age. However, the Bible doesn’t lie, you only need to read it and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth. This is excatly what I had to learn in my walk when I came into the faith 5 years ago. I was that girl, I had every name brand item, Chanel, LV, and all the designer items I could get my hands on, why? because I loved it. As I started spending time with God, He revealed this was a stumbling block to others and He wasn’t pleased, I prayed and asked Him to remove the desire of these things from my heart since He wasn’t pleased with them, and He did. Since then, I have noticed that designer items do not appeal to me anymore and as a matter of fact, they look foolish now. Also, remember that those that designed those items probably don’t love the Lord. Just because I love porn or worldly music doesn’t mean it is profitable for my salvation or walk.”Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything. 1 Corinthians 6:12

Ouroboros is a symbol, which originates form the ancient Egyptian iconography. It depicts a serpent eating its own tail. The term derives from Ancient Greece and represents the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth. Ouroboros tattoos are very popular

A circle can carry symbolic meaning, such as the cycle of life, perfection, ouroboros, mandala, or enso. However, the circle can also be an aesthetic or geometric tattoo design choice used to create a simple piece of body art or help in the wider design of a large-scale concept.

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.(24:31)

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.(33:59)

Narrated Safiya bint Shaiba: `Aisha used to say: “When (the Verse): “They should draw their veils over their necks and bosoms,” was revealed, (the ladies) cut their waist sheets at the edges and covered their heads and faces with those cut pieces of cloth.” Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 282

I believe there is none. The relevant Verses are 24:31 and 33:59.

33:59 instructs Muslim women to partially cover their bodies. This was revealed in context to women who were getting harassed when going out for nature calls at night. These women did not cover their heads. The Verse indicates that a woman’s figure shouldn’t be too prominently visible.

24:31 indicates that the amount of allowable visible skin and hair is measured in reference to her community’s social norms, while specifically forbidding the appearance of the breasts, because breast appearance has been and still is the social norm in many societies. The Verse also stresses moderation in dress and that relaxed, casual attire is only permitted in the presence of certain people.

Understanding what the Qur’an says is critical. A burqa-wearing lady in a non-Muslim town was almost killed, because she was wearing a full cover burqa in a place where this was never seen before. Instead of protecting her, her wardrobe put her in jeopardy. That is exactly why social context is a factor, and it is considered in the Ayah.

The prohibition there is on men dressing to look like women and vice versa.

It’s not a list of clothes you can and can’t wear.

The issue is with people trying to blur the clear boundaries between the sexes. That is what God objects to, as it is a perversion of what is natural.

But yes, of course women can wear pants.

Do you look at that and think that she’s trying to look like a man?

How did the niqab become a part of the Muslim culture when the Quran ordains that the hijab is the best for women?

Oh, it’s the big one.

This is really a two-part question, so I’ll break it down as well as I can. My answer is based off of my research and understanding, but I’ll do my best to present everything as objectively as possible.

How did the niqab become a part of the Muslim culture…

The origin of niqab predates Islam by a significant amount of time. The practice likely originated in the Middle East, with accounts of ‘Arabian’ women covering their faces around the third century. Some accounts pin a face veil for women spanning to even 5,000 BCE! For reference, Islam has been around since about the sev

Is it a sin according to Deut 22:5 if women wear trousers?

Here’s what Deu 22:5 says:

A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
