Absolutely nothing !

You have many dreams each night. It’s just your brain’s activity as your body recovers from the previous day. You only remember your last dream, because you’re slowly waking up.

Stop believing in silly superstitions.

First we will talk about the colors. The color red is the color of blood and fire. It is associated with love, passion, desire, heat, longing, lust, sex, romance, joy, strength, leadership, courage, valor, willpower, rage, anger, danger, malice, wrath, stress, action, vibrance, radiance, determination. The color black is associated with power, fear, mystery, strength, authority, death, evil, aggression, rebellion. The color black is the absence of color. Black is the absorption of all color. Many people feel black represents misfortune. If you are dreaming about snakes it could be an invitation to check on anything ‘poisonous’ in your life,or important matters before they become more difficult or create more damage. Snakes are symbolic of a hidden threat or betrayal. The meaning of snake is also about transformation. It’s signifies rebirth and transmutation.

Dreaming of a red and black snake means the enemy is extremely angry and deadly. Snakes in dreams are a strong indicator of black magic being used against the dreamer.

It doesn’t mean a thing. Sigmund Freud would have disagreed, but he has been discredited except as a historical footnote.

Most dreams deal with everyday situations. The very weird or scary ones are the ones you’ll tend to remember, especially if you were awakened during or immediately after you were dreaming.

Dreams are just products of our imagination. They are not caused by spirits, demons, angels, God, or by any other spiritual belief system. They do not foretell the future!

Many think dreams have meanings and believe complete strangers here on Quora (who don’t know them at all) can somehow interpret or explain them.

I don’t blame people for asking; dream interpretation has been around for thousands of years! And dreams can at times be REALLY strange.

Many think dreams are more than just the way your brain processes information while you’re sleeping. Dream interpretation is just part of a spiritual belief system unsupported by meaningful evidence.

When you are awake, you are, without being aware of it, constantly receiving a barrage of information, sights and sounds, feelings, etc. that go straight to the brain. At certain times while you are sleeping, it all gets sorted, filed away as memories, or discarded, resulting in your imagination going wild. The brain makes a narrative, tells stories in your sleep, stories which can be very complicated indeed but may not make any sense.

This happens mostly during the REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep, which corresponds exactly as one is dreaming. It may even happen when you think you are wide awake. This is something all mammals experience.

That dreams really don’t mean anything is pretty much a fact. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Science and the 21st-Century!

Who knows for sure?!! But hey, I’ll throw something out there. Kundalini Shakti is the energy that resides in the root energy vortex, at the base of your tailbone. This energy is pictured as a snake in sacred literature, and kundalini literally means ‘coiled blossoming forth.’ So all the energy vortex’s in our body have a corresponding color. And guess what? It’s the color of the rainbow (ROYGBIV). I’m not making this up! And I’ve experienced this truth first hand.

Anyway, the last color, Voilet is our crown vortex, on the top of our head. Are you spiritual? Perhaps the purple snake is your energy trying to make it up to your crown, but your moving away. In other words, it’s following you. If you are spiritual, are you resisting anything? This vortex relates to self knowledge and spiritual awareness. It’s all about union with God and our higher self. I hope this helps or makes some sense. And it was just a guess. Only you would know the answer since you’re the dreamer! Oh, and don’t fight the purple snake!

Don’t worry too much about dream meanings. It is your subconscious mind framing a scenario and asking you what would you do if this happens in real life. Of course, the decision you take and things you see in the dream are always related to your behaviour on certain someone or something.

Our conscious mind can perceive things only when you give attention to things which you are doing, but the unconscious state of mind will perceive everything even when you are not paying any attention to it. Things which are perceived from unconscious mind which needs the decision from the conscious mind often comes in the dream but scenarios are framed by subconscious mind.(There is no direct interaction between conscious and unconscious mind, subconscious is the mediator)

So, to your question, the answer depends on actions that happened and not the characters in the dream. disregard the colour of snake and think about the situation you were in.

It is reflecting an intermediary state. The snake in dreams represents far more than just the sexual organ itself, it represents sexual energy (like with the lower chakra that is hosting its sleeping form that could later be rising throught the kundalini in the tantric tradition) , it is the most important source of energy we have. But its presence in dreams is also indicative, with adults dreamers, of a strict education where it could have been repressed – it actually does not appear in children’s dreams at all because of its nature, except within circumstances where the child would have to be wary of it in others .

But then the color blue is indicative of the conscience and evolution in somebody. So perhaps the dream is hinting at a new found consciousness that is deploying this energy in a positive way, because the snake in and of itself is a ‘’cold’’ energy that requires to be warmed up in a loving context, to be chanelled and transformed this way.

What does a green and black colored snake mean in a dream?

You would have to explain the entire dream in as much detail as you remember in order to have an accurate interpretation done. Snakes can mean deceit, transformation, danger, growth, sneakiness, treachery, sexuality or primal energy, the need to wait, the need to shed old ways. It would not mean all of those things though. Being black and green, it is possible that it would lean towards meanings of deceit, danger, blockages etc.

What does it mean if you dream that a black snake is eating you up?

Snake in a dream means:Curse, demon, deception, threat, danger, hatred, slander, witchcraft! Black: Lack, sin, ignorance, evil, gloomy, grief, mourning.

You might be living an ignorant life, short of prayer, or any other self improving methods/precautions, hence you are being swallowed up by these negativities. You seem not to be taking any of your life mishaps very seriously. All the negativity(black snake) is overwhelming and eating you up!

Dreams are always in greyscale.. Due the variety, vastness and expanse of the emotions involved in the dreams, they are said to be colorful.., but in reality, all dreams are in greyscale..

You can recheck… by this experiment..

Take a red rose.. Just sit on a chair.. , place the red rose before you somewhere.. and relax and close your eyes.. and start imagining the redrose in your mind … Make sure you imagined correctly.., now open your eyes and have a look at the rose before you.. You will realize that you could think of the rose… but not the red rose..! You can try like this on anything..

Our subconscious mind stores all our memories in greyscale only.. Color is a conscious stuff.. Eyes can see the color.. not the mind.. Every time you force yourself to remember something in a color, its the nearest matching grey variant that you are able to imagine..

In the subconscious level and beyond that, every thing is just the same.. Nothing superior, nothing inferior.. There’s nothing black, nothing white either.. Its our conscious thoughts and aspirations that divide..

Every dream is set of multiple packets of thoughts that gain a momentum in the subconscious level..

Stay Blessed..

What does it mean to see a large black snake with yellow strips in your dream?

They used to characterize a bad guy (black) who was a coward (yellow,) as a bad guy with a yellow streak down his back. You might have seen something on TV that suggested this dream, or maybe you met someone recently who is similar to this, or you might be experiencing a situation where this might describe you. Snakes are usually regarded as something evil or bad, so be careful.

Are you in Australia?Yes: then it may be a red bellied black snake, which is venomous. No: then it’s a black snake.

See? It’s actually pretty easy.

Black snakes, outside of Australia, are non-venomous snakes that are very important for the environment, as all snakes are, and very helpful to humans, because they eat rats and other vermin.

If you see a snake, venomous or non-venomous, keep a distance and everything will be okay. I have dealt with a lot more snakes than most people; I have never seen a snake attack a person or even a dog (we don’t have anacondas where I live). The most important thing when dealing with any snake is to keep calm and keep a distance. They’re really quite beautiful.

Bonus: a black and white snake. This is a banded krait, not very big, only about 130cm. These are venomous, so be careful. This fellow was right outside my front door, so I got my trusty snake tong and removed him. Or her.

Are Australian red belly black snakes poisonous?

Not posonous, but most definately venomous.

It is the 10th most venemous snake in Australia and in the top 20 worldwide.

If you were to eat one, it’s not going to poison you. I ate one (as part of a group) in 1973, cooked on a sheet of old tin. Definately not interested in repeating the exercise.

If it bites you, seek medical treatment urgently after first applying a pressure bandage and immobilising the limb.

What does it mean when I dream of a red and black striped snake biting my left foot?

It means that there is a lie, or lies, affecting your family line, and this lie, or lies, are based in violent anger, control, and manipulation. It could be a curse from outside the family line, or it could have come from someone in your bloodline whose behavior has been passed down.

What does it mean when you see 2 snakes in your dream and one kills the other and then you killed the friendly snake and cry about it at the end of the dream?

It means absolutely NOTHING!

You were just having a good night sleep and your pre-frontal cortex disengaged from other part of your brains which led you on a jolly ride!!!

Alternatively, the fact that you can imagine crazy things in your awake state and yet you don’t come on Quora asking why am I having these crazy ideas, is the same as having crazy ideas in your dream.

Looking at it that way puts everything into proper perspectives.

Do not depress yourself, buddy!

What does it mean to dream of black baby snakes?

According to Dream Moods, “To see a baby snake in your dream means that you are underestimating some threat in your waking life.” Black can have many meanings, including the unknown, danger, and spirituality. Without details of your waking life, my best guess would be that your subconscious is warning you to pay attention to seemingly small issues that are about to become big problems.

Please note that this answer is only about the Red-bellied Black snake (Pseudechis porphyriacus, Elapidae) of eastern Australia, and NOT to anything called a ‘black snake’ or ‘red-bellied snake’ in any other country.

This is an electron microscope image of the upper jaw and snout bones of a Red-bellied Black Snake (Pseudechis porphyriacus), showing most of the left maxilla with its fang in the centre, and smaller posterior maxillary teeth at upper right (the toothed palatine bones with batteries of replacement teeth, and right maxilla and its teeth are also visible).

Red-bellied Black Snake

The fangs are quite long and sharp for an elapid snake (member of the same family as cobras, coral snakes, and roughly a hundred species in Australia), well adapted for piercing the soft tissues of frogs or fish and the fur or feathers of small mammals and birds, and quite adequate for puncturing the tougher skin of reptiles: redbellies are not fussy eaters, though frogs are their core diet.

Those fangs are hollow, you can see that the tip is rather like this:

Hypodermic needle – Wikipedia

You can see a groove extending upward along the ‘bevel’ surface of the fang; this is not the venom canal (lumen), but a closed suture between the lumen’s two external openings. You can’t see the larger opening at the front of the base (top) of the fang, which is where the soft-tissue duct from the venom gland plumbs in. The duct runs along the edge of the maxilla (partly in the shallow groove seen at top right) from the gland which is in the cheek region above the corner of the mouth; several muscles that are originally jaw adductors attach to the outer surface of the gland, and function to squeeze venom out, along the duct and through the fang lumen, when required.

People get bitten sometimes when redbellies are defending themselves, which (of course) is a secondary application, not the main function of venom. Because the fangs are well adapted for use on vertebrate prey, venom can be injected deeply and copiously; this causes considerable pain, nausea, and swelling that resolves within a few days.

Other species in the same genus are significantly more dangerous to be bitten by. Antivenom therapy for snakes of the genus Pseudechis has been available for many decades (it used to be made using venom from Papuan Blacksnake, P. papuanus), and may be advised for bites of this species; however, there don’t seem to be any reliable accounts of people dying from redbelly bites, or even suffering permanent damage to tissues. A small amount of necrosis at the bite location is not unusual, but usually just a couple of little black spots that flake off in a week or two with no scarring.

Are black and red snakes poisonous?

Red bellied blacks certainly are, not very deadly, but certainly venomous. They mostly like wet areas, swamps and close to creeks, waterholes etc.

Actually the correct answer would be no, they are not poisonous, because you could eat them with no ill effects, however their bite is certainly venomous.

It depends on how he came in you dream

According to Swapna Shastra, If you dream of fighting a snake, it means resistance to change, or struggling on a decision

If the snake bites you in your dreams, it means you will soon face with health issues or will suffering from dangerous diseases.

Dreaming of being chased by a snake indicate a life threatening event ahead in your life.

Dreams of being attacked by a snake suggest that your enemies are behind to harm you. Something wrong you did in your past is disturbing you but you are ignoring it.

Fearing snakes means you fear something or someone because of something wrong you did in your past. It is a warning against physical harm to your life and loss of reputation. Snake dreams are a wake-up call to correct your mistakes and confront your fears.

Catching or controlling a snake means victory over enemies.

In short, if you are seeing snake positively in dreams, then it’s a good sign else it is advised to worship lord Shiva as he is the master of the snakes . Lord shiva is known as Pasupathinath, meaning “lord of all creatures”. This is perhaps the reason why temples are regularly visited by snakes for worship of shiv-lingam as shown below

No. The Red-Bellied Black Snake is classified by the scientific community as an ovoviviparous species, meaning that the females give birth to live young (via a membranous sac). On average, this species gives birth to approximately 8 to 40 baby snakes that will break through their sac shortly after the birthing process.

Generally speaking, babies are quite small for this species, measuring only 122 millimeters on average.[1]

Are you afraid of snakes? Do you believe that they symbolize the Devil? In this case, it would be a sign of danger or deceit, especially coming from above (ceiling) – authority figures, older family members, somebody ‘above you” socially. But if you like snakes and they mostly relate to transformation, wisdom, and healing in your culture and religion – this would be a sign of higher guidance or healing. It can also relate to sexuality as a snake is a phallic symbol. Light grey is just the absence of color or can mean ‘unknown” or ‘subdued”, white can relate to purity or grief – depending on your culture. Snakes have different meanings in different cultures, it is a very controversial dream symbol and can have a lot of different meanings.

Some people view snakes as being a good sign, but for me, I believe snakes to be a warning, especially when the snake depicted in a dream is of the venomous or constrictor type. Boas, are large snakes that can ingest double their size, and they do not attack with a bite to kill, but uses their bite to hold their prey as their body is used to cut off the air supply of their prey. Snakes ingest their prey live. This is something to be aware of as your dream is most likely a warning.

What in your day to day life is constricting you in some way? Is this a situation or a person? The snake in your dream came from a place out of sight perhaps, but definitely out of reach and lowered itself in order that it might be able to take you down.

I would have to suggest that maybe there is someone in a position of power in your life that is causing you conflict? Maybe you are having some sort of minor conflict with a co-worker, a family member, or someone you hold in high regard?

This dream is telling you that you can over come this situation, even if it is not an individual, it is wise to have your wits about you and look ahead i…

The Lotus reflects various qualities and principles – that makes it unique. While it grows in mud yet it is not affected by the dirt of water around it – and this signifies for the individual human being to follow the example of the lotus in resilience and freedom from the constrains of the environment (and surroundings hardships).

“ As lotus displays all of the different stages of growth simultaneously – bud, flower and seed pod – it can also be a symbol of the past, present and future”. Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera)

The mechanism of the lotus showing a simultaneous existence of cause and effect is what the teaching of Karma is about. Karma is the Law of Consequences (or effects) of one’s actions (causes).

Making a current cause of action in our life – as the lotus indicates – immediately records (in our life) a relavent future effect, which will be experienced (when conditions are convenient).

In other Mahayana sutras, the path to attain Buddhahood (the final effect) is through the Bodhisattva practice (cause), but there are many stages of separation between the two states. In the Lotus Sutra, the metaphor of the Lotus as a flower is used to reveal that the Cause of enlightenment (Bodhisattva) and the Effect (Buddha state) are not separate but both exist together. As Nichiren quotes in his writings:

“Those who practice the Lotus Sutra are pursuing through this single act of devotion the mind that is endowed with all manner of fortunate results. These are present simultaneously and are not acquired gradually over a long period of time. This is like the blossom of the lotus that, when it opens, already possesses a large number of seeds”.The Entity of the Mystic Law

In this observation, the lotus as a flower is regarded as an expression of the Dharma, the fundamental law of nature (the bond of causes and effects). It is not just a metaphor for the Law, but a physical manifestation of the consciousness of the Law of life, which binds any action to its destined effect.

Nichiren Buddhism (based on the Lotus Sutra) is called the Buddhism of the Sun – beacuse the word Nichiren combines the two aspects Sun (NICHI) and Lotus (REN) – or Heaven (Sun) and Earth (lotus)

“My giving myself the name Nichiren (Sun Lotus) derives from my own enlightenment” Letter to Jakunichi-bō

Why is it a new fad for young women to get an upside down triangle tattooed on their chest?

It’s not a new fad to get them, it’s new that you’ve seen them.

The upside down triangle (a very longtime symbol for the uterus/ vagina/ vulva/ femininity/ fertility) is a gay pride symbol. Specifically a pink or purple such triangle is a lesbian pride symbol and has been for a long time.

I have a good friend who first got hers about 25 years ago and she was far from the only one. Back then, it needed to be a covert symbol of strength.

With the progress we’ve made in gay rights, people are now showing them publicly.

And that’s a good thing!
